Campers are really enjoying the lake today as the temperatures begin to climb. It’s still much cooler up here than it is in the city but our campers are all wearing sun screen and drinking lots of water to stay hydrated. Some of our campers had their first lake swim today. A lake swim is a time honored camp tradition and the full round trip is one mile.
Lewis Village campers had so much fun bowling last night. The highlight of the trip was that they were able to directly program songs into the sound system from their bowling stations. Campers loved playing DJ and listening to their favorite tunes all night long
Poyntelle campers are looking forward to taking over the bowling alley tonight and bowling, snacking and bonding.
Our LIT’s enjoyed their second day working at Poyntelle today and putting their leadership skills into action. Tonight they will have an overnight at blueberry hill and enjoy a campfire and s’mores before camping out under the stars.
Our chugim for the week have been so much fun. In the music video chug, campers have chosen two popular songs – Call me maybe and Broken hearted – and they are putting together a video which will be shown on Shabbat to the rest of camp. We are hoping to be able to post this video online next week so stay tuned.
Evening activity for the rest of our Lewis Village campers tonight is Cake Boss. Bunks will decorate cakes to look like their favorite parts of camp. The best part will be eating the cakes once they are decorated and judged.
Did you know that we have a camper referral program? If you refer a family to CPLV and they sign up for camp next summer you will get $100 off of your camper’s tuition. Refer more families and save even more money. Now is a great time for families to come up and visit and see camp in action.
