Summer is just around the corner, and that means it’s time for you to reach out to your old bunkmates and co-counselors, get a group together, and head up to the 18454 for CPLV’s summer alumni events.

This summer, we’ve “redesigned” Alumni Day in the hopes that you’ll be able to enjoy camp, and it’s amenities a bit more. The last two summers we’ve held Alumni Day during the late afternoon/evening, which means you may have missed out on taking a dip in black water during a hot afternoon, or playing in a game of basketball.

This year, we’ll be starting the day at 12:30pm, and we’ve designed the schedule with goal of allowing you to really relive a full afternoon at camp, as well as see old friends.

The Schedule is as follows:

Saturday, July 7
CPLV Alumni Day
$15 for the day

Schedule:

12:30 pm- Arrival at camp: Sign in at the main office, head down the path past the Rec Hall towards the dining hall.

1 pm- Lunch in Poyntelle Dining Hall: You’ll be able to sit in the actual dining hall with the camp, enjoy a camp lunch, and get ready to start the day.

2 pm- LITs vs Alumni Basketball Game: If you don’t want to play, no worries! Both sides of camp will be at the game, so you can mingle with old friends, hang out on the fields, have a catch etc.

3:30 pm- Free Swim on either side of camp – This is your opportunity to spend time on the side of camp you want to. Want to take a quick dip in the pool over in Poyntelle, then head to LV? No problem!

5 pm- Canteen on Poyntelle/ Networking and Meet and Greet with Sarah Raful Whinston: Once you leave camp, you tend to fall out of the loop of what’s going on, what’s new, and what’s on the horizon for CPLV. Come grab sour sticks & a Sierra Mist, relax and find out what’s new with camp. Sarah will be answering questions, and they’ll be the opportunity for younger alums to network with older alums (career-wise, discuss potential future jobs, internships etc.)

5:30 pm- Goodbye! See you at Indian Summer!

The hope is that by starting at 12:30, and ending at 5:30 – those of you who want to make the trip up, can leave at a normal time in the morning, get up to camp, enjoy a fun-filled afternoon, and head home, making it back to your homes at a “not-so-late” hour.
